This project is intended for print, as such all submissions must follow the submission guidelines in order to ensure the highest quality print of their work.- All submissions must be a comic
- Each participant will have 2 to 4 pages for their submissions
- Each page is 6” x 9” (US Trade Size)
- Submissions must be 300 DPI
- Submissions must be CMYK/Print friendly!
- All submissions must fit the theme for the project- All entries must be rated teen or below. This means no NSFW or heavily suggestive content, heavy violence/gore, or excessively dark themes.
- You must be 16 or older in order to apply!
- No entries may incite, promote, or include violent, discriminatory, or hateful content.
- All entries must be your own original work! This means all writing and art must be created by you. However, reinterpretations of in-game media are allowed
- The use of AI is strictly prohibited. If you are found to have used AI at any point during your process, you will be expelled from the project immediately.
- You must have a Discord account and be communicative with our staff in order to participate in this project.
In addition to these project submission guidelines, all participants are expected to abide by the following rules as well:1. Be respectful of others, rudeness, cruelty, discrimination, harassment, or general nastiness will not be tolerated, period.
This goes for within the project, as well as outside of it. Your behavior is not only a reflection of yourself, but of the project and team behind it as well.2. Do not share full artworks publicly until after the zine has been published! Snippets, WIPs, and small portions of your piece are fine, just don’t share the entire thing!3. Do not share other participant's work for the project outside of the project server.4. Be open and communicative! There will be 3 progress check-ins throughout the project. Repeatedly not responding to the check ins will result in being removed from the project.5. If at any point you feel you cannot continue the project, no worries! All we ask is that you reach out to a member of our team and let us know!If a participant is found to be in violation of one or more of these rules, they will be removed from the project.
Tales From The Spire is a for-profit zine project. Any revenue generated will first go toward covering it's own production and distribution costs. Any remaining profits may be distributed evenly among contributors and project staff, though this is not guaranteed and highly depends on its success.In the event that profit funds are distributed amongst contributors and staff, a bank account is required for payments. Alternatives can be arranged if this isn't possible for you!All participants are guaranteed to receive one copy of the physical zine as a thank you for their hard work! Anyone who creates merch designs that make it to the final product will also receive copies of each item they designed. A digital PDF version of the zine can also be provided upon request!As organizers, we value transparency throughout this project. Further information and updates regarding profits and compensation will be released as production progresses!
Tales From the Spire is an original Cookie Run: Kingdom comic fan zine created by Scamp (scramblestew). This project is unofficial and created by fans for fans. The project will collect comics from 25 different artists into one book set to be published in late 2026.Participants will have approximately 3 months to create their works once accepted into the project. - Fount of KnowledgeVariations of these characters (both official and fanmade) are also welcome! We encourage you to also include characters not listed here (such as Pure Vanilla, Black Sapphire, Candy Apple, and the Beasts/Virtues), so long as at least one of the listed characters is involved.

I’m a casual artist who loves writing and roleplaying in my free time (when I’m not drowning in school or lost in my own lala land) I’ll be helping out Scamp with organizing this project! When will the finished zine come out? And where can I get it? Unfortunately we don't have an exact date yet, but we're estimating August or September of 2026 at the earliest! We'll have more information closer to the zine's launch date. Please keep an eye on all of our social media pages to be updated when this happens!When will I know if I'm accepted into the project? After the application period ends on April 12th there will be a short deliberation period where project staff will look over all applications. We'll then reach out to accepted applicants through email, as well as make an announcement on social media.Is this zine a paid opportunity / How are participants compensated for their work? All participants will receive a copy of the printed zine as a thank you for their hard work! Additionally, if a participant creates any additional designs that make it to the final zine they will receive a copy of each item they design.
